Our Products

At Otago Balustrades we supply Juralco balustrades because they are NZ designed & manufactured to meet the unique demands of our environment.

We carry an excellent range of both aluminium and glass balustrades for you to choose from. Our glass balustrades are available in a fantastic range of options, from aluminium framed and glass to Infinity® balustrades that provide minimal interruption of your view.

Which type of balustrade should I choose? Glass or Aluminium?

It really depends on your personal preference and and the look you are after.  This is particularly true if you have a nice view and don't want anything impeding it, which is where glass balustrades are ideal as they keep the view unobstructed whilst still providing a barrier.

Mix & Match Balustrades

Sometimes customers choose a mixture of balustrade styles to maximise budget and ensure the best look in each area. For example, you may have a frameless glass balustrade on your deck to ensure the best unobstructed view and an aluminium post and glass balustrade on the side deck where your view is not so important.

Aluminium Balustrades, powder coated to match your home joinery, Otago Balustrades, Dunedin New Zealand

Aluminium Balustrades

Aluminium baluster balustrades, with rails fitted between the aluminium posts, are a great option given that they can be finished in powder coated colours to match your home's joinery.  They are also low maintenance, only needing to be washed down with soapy water and rinsed.

Our Aluminium balustrading is resilient, cost-effective and comes in a wide range of styles to meet your aesthetic and privacy wishes.

Glass Balustrades, frameless glass balustrades ultimate unobstructed barriers, Otago Balustrades, Dunedin New Zealand

Glass Balustrades

Frameless glass balustrades are the ultimate in unobstructed barriers. Clear, toughened safety panels are attached to decks and other surfaces by your choice of a wide range of aluminium fittings. Because they require a thicker and heavier 12mm or 15mm toughened glass - which is a premium product - they are naturally a more costly option.

That being said, however, the widespread use and ready availability of toughened safety glass panels mean an aluminium post and glass balustrade systems are virtually the same price as the aluminium post and rail (baluster) options. With a slim minimalist handrail on top, these post and glass panel balustrades are one of our most popular solutions for customers.
